1. Application Scope: Plastic, metal, or electroplated materials with surface UV coatings; most rigid plastics such as ABS, PVC, PC, and similar substrates.
2. Performance: Excellent adhesion, high gloss, good scratch and chemical resistance, superior abrasion resistance, suitable for both screen printing and pad printing.
3. Process Conditions:
1) When directly pad printing or screen printing on plastic surfaces, adjust the viscosity with SL4407 UV pad printing thinner or RS1243 screen printing thinner as appropriate. After printing, cure the workpiece by passing through a low-temperature oven at 70°C (2-3 minutes) followed by UV exposure.
2) When printing on substrates pre-coated with a layer of UV paint, add 10%-15% DB-02 curing agent to the ink, mix thoroughly before pad printing. The freshly printed workpiece must be baked at 70-80°C for 60 minutes before UV exposure.
4. Curing: Typically cured using 2000W-3000W UV lamps with an energy output of 450 mJ. Excessively thick ink layers may affect curing speed and adhesion.
5. Adhesion: UV ink must be cooled to room temperature after curing before testing. Optimal adhesion, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance are achieved 24 hours after the printing process.
6. Storage: Store in a sealed, light-proof container at 20°C room temperature. Shelf life is 6 months. Avoid pouring ink back from screens into the original container. Ink mixed with curing agent must be used within 4 hours, as extended use may degrade performance.
7. Safety Precautions: Wear protective equipment such as masks and gloves during operation to avoid direct skin contact. In case of skin exposure, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention if necessary.
8. Notes: When preparing silver or gold ink, the ratio of silver/gold powder to clear varnish should not exceed 1:9. The shelf life of prepared silver or gold ink should not exceed 6 months.
